“La Salle” Social Cooperative ONLUS

“La Salle” Social Cooperative ONLUS was established on January 28, 1994, at the initiative of the Pio Istituto Negrone Durazzo—owner of the buildings—and a group of former students, some of whom are teachers, of the School of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.

The Cooperative’s main activities include:

• Territorial Educational Community (CET): a service offering both day and residential care, hosting up to 13 minors—6 in the residential facility and 7 in the day service.

• Protected Housing for Young Adults: accommodates three young women who have recently reached the age of majority, up to the age of 21, supporting them in a pathway toward autonomy and personal development.

• Two Independent Living Apartments: designed for 8 young adults who have recently come of age and are transitioning out of reception facilities for unaccompanied foreign minors (MSNA).

• Youth Community Center: a project carried out in collaboration with the cooperative “La Comunità,” and part of the Municipal Youth Services Center of the City of Genoa. Established in 1993, it operates from Monday to Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering children and adolescents a wide range of recreational, educational, and sports activities.

• Staff Presence within the Municipal Immigration System: one part-time operator working within the Foreigners’ Services System of the City of Genoa.

• Parent–Child Facility (Medium-Intensity Care): a parent–child residential facility is expected to receive accreditation in the near future.
